I built a brand from the ground up for a global facilities company —developing messaging and materials that helped win new business in K–12 and higher education. I love turning real-world impact into compelling stories.
My first job out of college was as a newspaper reporter, but I quickly learned I had too many opinions for an industry that (at the time) demanded strict neutrality. In 1999, I made the switch to financial services and started as a copywriter at Shenandoah Life Insurance Company in Roanoke, Virginia.
Since then, I’ve led consumer focus groups for AIG in Beijing, launched a new distribution channel for Protective Life in Cincinnati, and helped Everly Life bring its first indexed UL product to market as a new player in the space.
After more than two decades in insurance marketing and product development, I launched Bell Ringer Consulting to do what I love most: help companies find the right words, the right message, and the right strategy to connect with their audience.
Throughout my career, I’ve focused on learning, doing, and building relationships—and those relationships matter. Many of my clients today are people I’ve worked with for 20 years or more. Starting my own business gave me the flexibility to spend more time with my family while also serving a broader client base with a range of needs.
